Welcome!
Thank you for choosing Two Rivers Middle School (TRMS) for your student’s education. I am extremely grateful to serve the students, parents, teachers, and community at TRMS. I believe it is our daily duty to ensure we provide all stakeholders with a positive middle school experience.
At Two Rivers, we grow and develop the whole child by focusing on academics and social and emotional learning. All students receive high-quality instruction from each one of their teachers every day. Students will leave TRMS better prepared for their colleges and careers through our schoolwide implementation of Advancement Via Individual Determination approach (AVID). AVID is a framework that concentrates on writing, inquiry-based learning, collaboration amongst students, and reading in all content classes for all students. Additionally, some students will have the opportunity to take an AVID class year-round for the duration of their time at TRMS. All students can also participate in year-round band, or a rotation of related arts classes that include art and physical education. Our eighth-grade students have the ability to leave Two Rivers with a high school credit in Spanish I.
In addition to academics, we have a strong restorative & social and emotional learning (SEL) culture. Within our halls, we have a full-time restorative teacher, dean of students, counselor, and social worker to meet the diverse needs of our students. All students participate in advisory daily. We offer a variety of clubs and sports open to all students.
At TRMS, we love parent involvement. If you want to lend a hand to help our students, there are plenty of opportunities—from helping to organize our community room which houses food, clothing, and school supplies or by volunteering as a reading or math tutor, serving as a mentor, to joining our PTO, which provides much needed services to assist our teachers and students each day.
